If you are a Windows Vista or 7 user, you have probably noticed that if you drag the window of a program to the corner of the screen, it automatically maximizes. The same goes for dragging a window on the left or right, as it will be resized to half the screen. Unfortunately, this feature doesn't always work and sometimes it's even annoying, as the user can accidentally maximize a window, for example. Fortunately, there is a replacement application for this Windows feature and its name is AquaSnap.

You can understand what the program is all about. It's basically a replacement for the AeroSnap feature in Windows, but, compared to this one, it can work even on older versions of Windows, and I mean Windows XP and 2000. The user has to install the program and that's it. He shouldn't configure anything, as the program comes already configured for optimal functionality. Still, one can customize some of the program's settings if he so desires.

The program's functionality is simple. The user just has to drag a desired window to the edge of the screen and it will be automatically resized to fit half the screen. AquaSnap offers more than this, including some additional functions. One of them is the possibility to make any window transparent, so in case there are many of them displayed on the screen, the user can see through them.

When not configured, the program can run from the system tray and a simple on/off switch can toggle all its settings on and off. For those who still don't understand what the program is about and how to control its features, there is a comprehensive manual available online, on the producer's website.

Pros

It can replace the AeroSnap feature in Windows Vista and 7, offering many more features. Besides that, it works perfectly with older versions of Windows, like XP and 2000. Furthermore, it can make any window transparent, allowing the user to see through it.

Cons

The functionality of the software may require some time to get familiar. AquaSnap is a replacement for the AeroSnap feature in Windows, offering many more features.
